Tour It Up!

It appears like the Van Halen tour dates featuring original frontman David Lee Roth on vocals and Eddie Van Halen's son Wolfgang on bass (replacing the fired Michael Anthony) are selling well. Hopefully, the band can live up to the hype but, unfortunately, I'm skeptical about how things are going to go. Diamond Dave and Eddie don't have the best reputation of getting along for extended periods of time and I'm thinking this time may not prove any different. Plus Dave's vocal chops are questionable as of late. When I saw him perform last year it didn't sounds very good at all. Maybe he's been working on that but somehow I doubt it. Hm, I sound like a pessimist but will be happy to be proven wrong... We'll have to wait and see.
As I said last week, today's Toon It Up is not only the First Anniversary and 75th strip but also the last. This last year has been great and I appreciate all the support during that time. It's time to move on, though, and I have a new project already in the works. I will be posting more info on that as it develops. My short term plans also include producing more Modern Daze, Pete & Pig and even Toon It Up strips for INtake Weekly so Gib, Marshall and Mike won't disappear completely. As you can see, I've even left the final strip open-ended just in case... Within the next few weeks I'll be revamping this site to allow me to post various projects so stay TOONed, I'm not really going anywhere...
The latest issue of INtake Weekly, which is now featuring members of the aforementioned Indy Webcomics Group, a collective of Indianapolis-based webcomic creators, was released yesterday. This week's edition spotlighted Random Assembly and Rogue Robot. If you're in the area, pick up a copy. Otherwise, the featured strips will appear Mondays and Thursdays on the Indy Webcomics Group website. Stay tuned in the upcoming weeks for Better You Than Me, Modern Daze, Pete & Pig and Toon It Up.
