Slamer? I Barely Know Her!

Guitarist/Songwriter Mike Slamer has been around. He began his axe attack in the 70's with the group City Boy, then joined up with Kansas vocalist Steve Walsh in the 80's group Streets. In the 90's he played killer licks with Steelhouse Lane and followed that up with his current band Seventh Key in which he's teamed with another Kansas player: bassist Billy Greer. In September, Mike released his first solo album on Frontiers Records entitled Nowhere Land. All that said, a lot of what you read online is focused on the various possible pronunciations of Mr. Slamer's name as opposed to his shredding skills. THIS was the inspiration for today's strip.
