I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Every year about this time, I force my wife and kids to have family pictures taken. They always complain but I always win out (at least for now). Despite the pressuring, the pics always turn out great and this year was no exception. The quality isn't the best as it was taken from the portrait studio website but you get the picture (no pun intended)...
This Toon It Up strip was in last week's issue of Indy.com Magazine. I've since had the new Queen + Paul Rodgers' Cosmos Rocks album grow on me a little but this was my first reaction...
I wasn't sure what to focus on in this new Toon It Up. It comments relatively equally on the ridiculous idea that Robert Plant can actually be replaced as the lead singer for Led Zeppelin and the joke that is Axl Rose who has placed himself at near god-like status, particularly now that the loooooooooong-awaited (though I stopped waiting looooooong ago and could now care less) Guns 'N Roses Chinese Democracy is finally to be released. AC/DC's Wal-Mart exclusivity was the news behind the humor in this week's Toon It Up. While unusual, it seems to be working; The album, which is quite the return to form for the band, is selling like hotcakes. The strip is also featured in today's Indy.com Magazine and will run online within the next few days at IndyWebComics.com. Cya next week!
