I'm still trying to tie up some loose ends before getting back to work on my graphic novel. This time, I'm updating Stryper bassist Tim Gaines' cartoon from a couple years back to his "new" longer hairstyle. And since I was at it, after plugging in the new Tim, I revamped my full band design a little to call out their new album, Second Coming.

I've been working on a couple of small projects before I dive back into my Once Upon A Platypus graphic novel. Once of them is this steampunk version of rocker Rick Springfield, based on the concept from his latest album, Songs For the End Of the World. Here are the inks that I finished tonight.

I had a great time at S.P.A.C.E (Small Press & Alternative Comics Expo) this past weekend. Thanks to organizer Bob Corby for all his work at making all of us artists feel welcome. I picked up a lot of new reading material including a new mini-comic by The Brothers Grant creative team of Chris and Ginger Ludden and enjoyed talking with Ken Glanc of the Elyria Comic Book Initiative. I was able to do my first show commission (see below) as well. But most of all, I enjoyed chatting with those of you who stopped by my table, whether you bought anything or not. You guys rock! I'm already looking forward to next year!

I had an awesome time at S.P.A.C.E this weekend! I'll talk more about it in the next day or two but wanted to announce that I took 1st and 2nd place in an art contest at the show put on by the Elyria Comic Book Initiative. Here were my two winning entries.

I'm all done with my now 8-page full-color Dakk Waggitt story other than tweaking! The story will be part of the S.P.A.C.E. 2013 Anthology! Now I have just a few minor things to finish and it's on to my next short-term project before jumping back into my Once Upon A Platypus graphic novel...
